The Communist Party of China (CPC) cooperates and exchanges with other political parties all over the world on the basis of independence, equality, mutual respect and non-intervention, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gangon Tuesday.

Qin made the remarks at a regular press briefing when asked whether the CPC will advise the Workers' Party of Korea, the ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), to further the country's reform and opening up.

China will not intervene in the affairs of other countries, Qin said, adding that every country has its right to choose their own way of development according to their domestic situation.

China wishes the DPRK could make continuous progress in development in every field, he noted.
