HK sets aside 2 million HKD to aid mainland flood victims

The government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Friday approved two grants totaling 2.05 million HK dollars to aid flood victims in China's southern provinces.
A government spokesperson said the grants will be handed to the Association of Chinese Evangelical Ministry and Oxfam for their relief efforts aimed at flood victims in Jiangxi and Yunnan.
The HKSAR government has earlier allocated 15.18 million HK dollars for Amity Foundation, the Salvation Army and World Vision to provide emergency services for flood victims in Guangxi, Hunan and Jiangxi.
