The domestically made aircraft and equipment were revealed at Beijing Shahe military airport as an important activity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PLA Air Force.

On the morning of Nov. 8, 2009, 24 Air Force leaders from 35 countries and 11 representatives from the PLA Air Force, attending the “Air Force Peace and Development International Forum” arrived in Shahe military airport. 15 different kinds of fighters and some advanced equipment including the KJ-200, KJ-2000 and J-10B, all domestically developed and made by AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), were shown to the guests.

Foreign generals said that the close contact with Chinese made aircraft showed that China is among the few countries worldwide that have the ability to mass produce sophisticated aircraft and related equipment. It is a sign that China is gearing up to become one of the several dominant powers in aviation industry.
