At present, Shenzhou-7's development is progressing smoothly and has entered the pre-preparation phase of delivery, as reported by spokespersons for the Shenzhou-7 development projects to China Space News.
According to reports, Shenzhou-7's mission is the first phase task of the second step of China's manned space project. On the basis of well-developed technology from the first step, the researchers developed new designs specifically for the tasks of Shenzhou-7, and modified the function of the orbital module, appearance and other aspects. They also conducted a series of verification tests on the spacecraft.
During their time in space, two astronauts will enter the spaceship orbital module in space suits to prepare for extravehicular activities, and one astronaut will conduct a spacewalk and scientific experiments.
