China established 220 key national laboratories

According to the key National Laboratory Conference held on Nov. 10, 2009 China has established 220 key national laboratories, fostering creativity of cutting-edge discoveries and providing methods for problem solving.

China started its key national laboratories plan in 1984, after 25 years’ development, key national laboratories has became a fundamental component of China’s science and technology innovation system. So far, China has 220 key national laboratories, with 10,000 fixed staff, 13 billion yuan equipment.

Under the concept of moderate construction, regular evaluation, efficient support and dynamic management, China’s key national laboratories have became an important bases for advanced & cutting-edge research, innovation promotion, scientists gathering and academic exchange.
