Rescuers have recovered the bodies of the three workers buried in a landslide at a quarry in Xi'an, capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province, according to the city government.

The bodies of the workers were found on Tuesday afternoon, according to the city publicity department.

One worker managed to escape when about 20,000 cubic meters of earth and rock rained down at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday.

The families of the victims have arrived at the privately owned quarry, in Chang'an District, on the outskirts of Xi'an.

Investigators with the city's department of work safety have attributed the accident to natural disaster.
