The death toll from a landslide in central China's Hubei Province has risen to 33, after rescuers found another body in the debris on Sunday.
Rescuers also retrieved five body parts, suggesting the death toll may increase further, said Wu Yong, a spokesman for the rescue headquarters.
The identities of the body and body parts have yet to be determined, Wu said.
"We're not clear right now whether the body parts are of a victim or several victims because they were damaged too much. But a woman is most probably among the victims judging from the clothes and formation of the body parts," he said.
The landslide occurred at around 8:40 a.m. on Nov. 20 at the entrance of a railway tunnel in Hubei's Badong County. About 3,000cubic meters of rubble buried a nearby construction site and a long-distance bus passing by, which is said to have 30 or so people aboard.
Until now, 29 of the 30 bodies found in the bus have been identified. Two other bodies were confirmed to be tunnel construction workers.
Rescuers are still clearing the site and searching for the missing worker Li Qingzhong and two other missing passengers, Wu said, quoting local police.
"According to the initial analysis, the newly found body and the body parts are not Li's. They might be of passengers but that needs DNA confirmation," he said.
