At least six people were killed in a fire at an eiderdown workshop in central China's Henan Province on Monday, an official said.

The fire broke out at around 4 a.m. in Wulikou town, Taikang county, and has been extinguished, said the official with the Taikang county government.

Details of casualties and the fire were not available at the time of going to press.

Police are investigating into the cause of the fire, the official added.
