As of February 10, Chinese citizens have donated 1.2 billion yuan in monetary and relief supplies to snow-covered disaster areas.
Of all donations, 85.8 million yuan was collected by the Ministry of Civil affairs; 136 million yuan was received by the Red Cross Society of China; and 45.1 million yuan came from the China Charity Federation.
The seven worst-hit provinces and regions, including Hunan Province, have received 892 million yuan in donations and relief.
