Hong Kong Customs Monday announced that their officers have made Hong Kong's largest seizure of counterfeit mobile phone accessories after shutting down a syndicate in a five-day operation.
Officers mounted the operation on Feb. 28 raiding three trading companies, three warehouses and a packaging center in Kwun Tong, seizing 8 million HK dollars (about 1.02 million US dollars) worth of fake goods including mobile-phone batteries, hands-free headsets and chargers.
They arrested six men and four women aged 27 to 46, three of them were company directors.
The syndicate attempted to sell the items as parallel-imported or stocked-up goods cheaper than genuine goods. Source: Xinhua
