A ticket on the Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway is initially to be fixed between 60 to 80 Yuan; but it is awaiting approval by related departments such as the National Development and Reform Commission, according to a statement by the First Deputy Director of the Beijing Railway Bureau, Luo Jinbao, on Monday.
The Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway connects Beijing and Tianjin, with a length of 120 kilometers. Once it begins operation, the journey between the two cities will take 30 minutes.
Luo also said Beijing's new South Railway Station will begin test operations without passengers on May 1st. After 3 months of adaptation and coordination, the station will officially begin operating on August 1st.
