The temperature in Beijing on Monday (March 10) reached 22.3 centigrade (℃), breaking a record high, for March, first set in 1971, according to the Beijing Times.

The maximum temperature in early March, 1971 was 19.7℃; while the temperature yesterday was 2.6℃. higher, at 22.3℃.

A higher temperature on Monday was predicted, but a record-breaking high temperature was unexpected, according to a city observatory expert.

Beginning from the 11th, for the next three days, the temperature in Beijing will begin to decrease. The minimum temperature on the morning of the 11th was 5℃, and the daytime maximum temperature is 18℃ - 4 centigrade lower than yesterday.
