China's basketball star, Yao Ming, who plays for Houston Rockets in the NBA, has topped Forbes' Chinese celebrity list for the fourth straight year.
Yao, earning 387.8 million yuan (about 54.6 million U.S. dollars), leads the list both in earnings and influence.
Liu Xiang, the 110-meter hurdles world record holder, and Kungfu film star Li Lianjie (Jet Li) rank second and third in social influence; and third and second in earnings.
Since its inception in 2004, the Forbes' Chinese Celebrity list has ranked China's actors, actresses, authors, singers and athletes according to their press coverage, internet hits and commercial value in the previous year.
