Chinese vice Minister of Education Chen Xiaoya said in Bali, Indonesia on the 11th, at the seventh Nine Large Population Developing Countries EFA Ministerial Conference, that this century, China will focus EFA in underdeveloped rural areas.
Chen Xiaoya said that the Chinese government has established the strategies for EFA development in the first 20 years of the new century. It will concentrate EFA in central and western rural areas, and economically underdeveloped areas, with an annual increase in funding for education mainly in rural areas.
Chen Xiaoya said China is willing to advance international cooperation in the field of education, particularly cooperation with developing countries.
