In order to promote vigorously developing high-tech industries, Tianjin will promote industrial aggregation, and construct an integrated national high-tech industrials base in 2008,according toTianjin Development and Reform Commission deputy director Yin Yaoguang on the 13th on Xinhua Net. According to the State's overall plan, the National Development and Reform Commission has approved Tianjin, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xi'an and Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan in Hunan Province to be the 6 six cities and regions to hold a comprehensive national high-tech industrial bases.
Yin Yaoguang said that Tianjin will follow "the development of national high-tech industrial bases guidelines." The plan will combine the characteristics and advantages of Tianjin to focus on biology, new energy, information, new materials, aerospace, and other areas of civilization; and build a comprehensive national high-tech industrial base.
