On March 18, the China Bone Marrow Bank provided Taiwan with a fourth case of hematopoietic stem cells at the Beijing Daopei Hospital. The donor is 22-year-old Xiao Jun from Guangxi Province. He became a volunteer stem cell donor in April 2007.
The green channel for cross-strait marrow bank cooperation and exchanges has been open for more than half a year, and is in healthy operation. So far, the Taiwan Tzu Chi Marrow Bank of China has submitted 10 applications searching for potential donors to the China Marrow Bank. Four successful matches have been made.
