Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Health Ma Xiaowei introduced at an activity marking World Health Day on April 7th. By the year 2007, the World Health Organization (WHO) had already offered 190 million USD in total aid to China, mainly in the field of sanitation, such as the prevention and treatment of contagious disease, and tobacco control.
