Recently, the Institute of Judicial Appraisal of Science and Technology, under the Ministry of Justice in Shanghai, has approved a science and technology project. With the help of super computers, they have re-created 41 traffic accidents, according to the Evening News.

A researcher at the Institute of Judicial Appraisal of Science and Technology, Chen Yijiu, said that currently it is difficult to gather evidence to deal with common traffic accident problems. After more than three years of research, and for the first time in China, his team has used computer simulation technology to identify traffic accidents; to simulate the process through images and animation; and visually re-create a traffic accident. This reproduction does not use simple animation: it is a result of many super computer operations, and is quite realistic.
