Many MSN users today received this message: "Please add ( L ) China after your name on msn, to show the unity of Chinese people around the world. Please send this message to your friends on MSN."

The netizens tried and waited; and then a miracle happened: a red heart icon and the word CHINA appeared. The "magic" message is now spreading rapidly among Chinese netizens.

Soon, a "patriotic heart" had been added in front of all the names on the contact list. As people read the false coverage by some foreign media, Chinese national pride and patriotism run deep once again with "patriotic hearts" popping up on the internet.
