China Southern Airlines (Nanyang) flight training base was established recently. This is the first domestic flight training base with specialized training aircraft, airport and management organization, marking China Southern Airlines pilot training system reaching the international advanced level.
Nanyang Airport is the first wholly-owned airport under the exclusive management of China Southern Airlines. Located in the hinterland of the Central Plains with pleasant climate, the airport has fine static air conditions, with more than 300 days suitable for flying annually. According to the plan, from this year China Southern Airlines will be investing 510 million yuan continuously to improve the hardware facilities of Nanyang airport. The company will gradually dispatch three different models of large aircraft to Nanyang base for the training of all pilots.
Last year, Southern Airlines was awarded the highest domestic flight safety award by the Civil Aviation Administration of China—— the " flight safety four-star award ". By the first quarter this year, China Southern Airlines has made flight safety records for the nearly 5 million hours, with flight safety standards ranking the highest in the industry.
