China Development Bank, or CDB, has provided a mid and long-term development financing loan, totalling 1.2 billion yuan to be used to cope with water pollution in Taihu Lake in east China. The loan project, the first project to be implemented to deal with water pollution in Taihu Lake, east China, after the Jiangsu Provincial Government signed the "Taihu Lake water environment harness cooperation agreement" with the CDB in January this year. Of the total investment of 2.68 billion yuan financing the project, there is a capital fund of 1.48 billion yuan, and the CDB mid and long-term loans of 1.2 billion yuan. The construction project includes three major parts, namely, the water disposal project, essetial facilities and the related relocation and greening projects.
