The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said on Thursday it had accepted Taiwan-based China Airlines' offer to freight relief materials to quake-hit regions in Sichuan.

The chartered flight was expected to leave Taipei at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, arrive at the Shuangliu International Airport in Chengdu at 8:30 p.m. and return on Friday.

The relief materials it carried would be donated to the China Charity Federation and the Red Cross Society of China's Sichuan Branch, said the CAAC.
