A recent survey indicates that 90.6% of the public believe "the earthquake will not affect the holding of the Olympic Games," and 8.2% of the public think "the earthquake will not affect the Olympic Games organization."

The survey was conducted by Tsinghua University to determine the earthquake's possible impact on the Olympic Games.

However, some factors of the earthquake should be taken into account to modify activities. It has been suggested that the Olympic torch relay should take the present situation into consideration and modify the transfer process in the affected areas.
