A Shanghai court jailed a man for eight years on Thursday for "illegally buying and selling guns."

Zhang Kun, a 31-year-old unemployed resident of the city, bought imitation guns and then sold them at a higher price, said the No. 2 Intermediate People's Court in Shanghai.

He even set up a Website -- www.51gun.cn -- describing the details of the weapons to expand his business.

Zhang was caught on July 20 last year while delivering some guns.

Police seized 22 imitation guns at his home. Six of them, bearing the stamp "MP-654k," could be destructive when used with compressed gas expansion cartridges to propel the pellet bullets.

Before he was caught, Zhang had sold three guns with the power to destroy.
