Six miners were trapped in a flooded bleaching clay mine in east China's Zhejiang Province on Wednesday, said a local government spokesman.

The flooding occurred at about 3 p.m. in Yuhang District of the provincial capital Hangzhou when 16 miners were working underground. Rescuers have saved 10 of them as of 10 p.m., said the spokesman with the Yuhang district government.
