China's Ministry of Commerce issued a circular saying that the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) will have to work harder to organize refined oil imports and increase the domestic market supply; meanwhile strictly control finished oil product exports.

The circular also stressed the need to focus on market dynamics and the reaction to rising oil prices; effectively monitor as well as procure and analyze the local retail and wholesale prices of refined oil.
