On the stage, the land and mountains are shaking, houses are cracking and collapsing, and the clock stops at 14:28.

The curtain went up with a song, "I must find out you wherever you are. Hand in hand, we'll never stay apart, no matter we live or die."

A package of art performances under the entitle of "Report to the Motherland" were staged at a local theatre in Beijing Tuesday evening, to mark the 87th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, watched the performances, together with Beijing residents.

The artists touched the audience with the scenes in the May 12 Earthquake and the brave rescue and relief activities by military, police, Party members, local teachers, students and volunteers.
