The Beijing Municipal Trade and Industry Bureau reported that this year, Beijing is taking action to further protect Beijing Olympic intellectual property rights and intensify the crackdown on violations. In the first half of this year, they have dealt with 127 violations of the Olympic logo, and imposed fines of 1.5221 million yuan.
According to reports, leisure and shopping venues concentrated with special rectifications of Olympic-related intellectual property rights and goods such as clothing, footwear, electronic products, cosmetics, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are the focus of the checks; and key industries include printing, warehousing, aviation, highway, and railway transportation. They will also intensify daily inspections of main production and distribution centers for goods carrying the Olympic logo, as well as wholesale markets and large and medium-sized business market sales. This campaign will be carried out to eradicate Olympic intellectual property rights violations.
