China's first group of female fighter-pilots started formal training in an aviation institution in Shenyang.
As the first batch of would-be female fighter-pilots in the country, they were selected from 12 provinces among 200,000 high school graduates who had applied for admission in 2005.
They just recently completed a course on the basic theory of aviation, as well as practicing elementary aircraft grouping and acrobatics at the Air Force’s Aviation University and another aviation institution. This group of women will soon become the country's first female fighter-pilots, and possibly the first batch of female astronauts.
