Beijing-Tianjin inter-city railway to extend to Tangshan |

According to Beijing Youth Daily, the new railway line project from Tangshan North Station to Tangshan Station has been approved; and is planned to start construction at the end of this year. The extension of the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city rail to Tangshan has been incorporated into railway network planning.
This railway has a design speed of 300 km per hour. It will only take 30 minutes to travel from Tangshan to Tianjin; and only about one hour to get to Beijing when construction is complete in 2011.
The extension of the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city railway is also a part of the Beijing-Tianjin-Qinhuangdao passenger railway line.
