The Olympic torch witnessed the birth of a new Guiness world record amid the torch relay Songyuan leg in northeast China's Jilin province on Tuesday.
A total of 2008 executants played horsehead fiddle when the first torchbearer started to run from the Olympic Square in the Songyuan leg.
An officer from the headquarters of Guiness World Record confirmed the new record on the spot.
