214 countries and international organizations have confirmed their attendance at the Shanghai World Expo so far; and 60 countries and international organizations had signed contracts for exhibition, according to the chief of Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Hong Hao.
Hong Hao revealed this at a press conference held for the Olympic soccer match in Shanghai by the Shanghai government on August 13. He added that more than 40 countries are confirmed to build halls themselves and more than 10 countries have published their planned designs.
