Two people died and one is missing after a stash of dynamite exploded in a village home in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Friday, according to local government.

The blast at around 8:16 p.m. was caused by around 300 kilograms of explosives used for road construction in Wangjiahe Village, Zhenba County, the Hanzhong City government said on Saturday.

Four injured people were receiving treatment in hospital.

Local police said improper management of the explosives led to the blast.
