China's State Council recently issued "The Policy on Supporting Tibet's Economic Development," according to sources from the government of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR).
According to the TAR government, the favorable policy aims to resolve issues during the process of TAR's economic development with help from the central government. Seven aspects, including promoting tourism and constructing public service facilities, are emphasized.
"The favorable policy shows that the central government is very concerned with TAR's development," said Hao Peng, vice executive chairman of TAR.
