Bus accident kills one, injures several in Shanghai |

One driver died and several passengers were injured after a bus hit a highway viaduct pier Saturday morning in Shanghai, local police said.
The accident occurred at 6:50 a.m. when a No.502 bus on the north Zhongshan Road suddenly swerved to the left and ran into the viaduct pier.
The driver died on the way to hospital and several injured passengers were hospitalized. Some are struggling for their lives, said the police.
Specific figures for the injured have yet to be released. The police have begun a probe into the cause of the accident.
