In the future, Internet users can use their native languages as mailbox names to send and receive e-mail, which means English-dominant era which began in 1982 is about to end.
Under the new standards, e-mail address in Chinese language can be used between the Chinese people to send and receive e-mail, and the Koreans can use Korean language e-mail address to send and receive e-mail. Chinese language and Korean language e-mail address can communicate with each other. ICANN expects ".中国" domain name will be officially put into use in 2009. CNNIC (China Internet Network Information Center) has subsequently launched a "Chinese domain names worldwide update action."
