The feasibility study report on the launch center for new-generation carrier rockets in Wenchang, Hainan Province has been approved by the Chinese government recently, and the construction is planned to start soon. When the center is completed, it will be the first Chinese launch center completely open to the world and will be a site for extensive international cooperation.
When the launch center in Wenchang is completed, it will be one of the top three spaceports in the world. The Chang'e-3 Lunar Satellite is also expected to be launched there.
