They have become part of the "10 great buildings" that have made the deepest impression in the last 30 years in the eyes of Chinese netizens.
This survey conducted by People's Daily Online received enthusiastic responses from netizens. According to the number of votes, the top ten buildings are as follows: National Stadium ("Bird Nest"), Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, Hangzhou Bay Bridge, National Centre for the Performing Arts, National Aquatics Centre ("Water Cube"), Shun Hing Square in Shenzhen, the new terminal of Beijing Capital International Airport, the new CCTV Headquarters, Window of the World in Shenzhen, and the China Millennium Monument.
