"2008 Excellent Photographers in Quake Relief Awarding Ceremony" was launched by China Photographers Association (CPA) in Beijing on Nov. 12.

150 photographers who had recorded the Wenchuan earthquake relief with their cameras have received the crown, including Lei Sheng (P1: one of whose works) and Li Ge (P2) from People's Daily.

Among the awarded photographers, some are from news media, some are amateurs. They reached the quake-hit area and took photos which touched the world, for they not only recorded the truth, but displayed unity, strong vitality, and indomitability of the Chinese nation.

A ceremony for donation of excellent works in quake relief to the Central Archives Bureau was also held. This is first time that the Central Archives collected photographic works.
