The Beijing National Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, has experienced its first fully cleaning, with the help of two special fire engines and eight fire fighters, on Nov. 14.
It is introduced that the cleaning will last 5 days. One fire engine with a high-powered water cannon is worth more than 10 million yuan.
The Beijing National Stadium, located at the Beijing Olympic Park, 258,000 sq meters in total land surface, is the main track and field stadium for the 2008 Summer Olympics.
After the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Stadium is to stage sports events at national and international levels, as well as cultural and entertaining activities.
