According to the Ministry of Culture, starting from this year, inheritors of national Intangible Cultural Heritage will receive 8,000 yuan in work subsidies per year from the central budget.

The Ministry of Culture has already announced two lists: 1,028 items of national Intangible Cultural Heritage, and 777 national Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritors.

To further regulate conservation works of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Culture, starting from this year, will announce a list of national Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritors on odd-numbered years, and a list of national Intangible Cultural Heritage on even-numbered years.

National inheritors in earthquake-stricken areas, including Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, will adequately have their subsidies increased this year given their specific difficulties.
