The 10th Cross-Straits Flower Exhibition and the 2008 Taiwan Farm Produce Exhibition opened in Zhangzhou, Fujian province, on November 18. Over 1,000 kinds of flowers were displayed at the Flower Exhibition, with over 560 domestic and international companies attending the fair.

This expo is composed of four exhibition halls, displaying agricultural products and processed goods of flowers, fruits and aquatic products, as well as farm produce materials and agricultural machines. The Taiwan Farm Produce Exhibition occupies around 6,000 square meters, with 140 agricultural organizations in attendance, including agricultural enterprises, farmers' associations, cooperatives and production and marketing workshops from Taiwan's 23 cities and counties. The expo has also set up exhibition areas for the China Mushroom Fair, Fujian agricultural products, Fujian-Taiwan cooperation achievements in agriculture, and cross-Straits cooperation achievements in the fishery sector.

The expo is organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Forestry Administration and the People's Government of Fujian Province. The Flower Exhibition has already been successfully held for 10 years. Over the past 10 years, the Flower Exhibition has become an important platform for cross-Straits agricultural exchanges and cooperation.
