According to Taiwanese media reports, in celebration of the Chinese mainland's gift of Giant pandas to Taiwan, Chen Feng-hsien, a sculptor of miniatures for 28 years from Sindian City, Taiwan, recently spent almost half a month creating "the world's smallest pandas". Carved out of resin and measuring only 0.7 millimeter high, these two adorable Giant pandas named "We Are Going to Taiwan,"can be seen only through a high-powered magnifying glass.
It is reported that since October of this year Chen had been thinking about how to create the world's smallest Giant pandas. After elaboration, he decided to choose resin as the working material because it is much easier to shape. Based on the concept of reunion "in pairs and couples,"he positioned the panda pair in a pinhole. Only through a high-powered magnifying glass can visitors see the tiny miniature pandas nibbling on the tender bamboo.
