Following three years of training, eight guide dogs at the China Guide Dog Training Center in Dalian formally graduated recently. They are China's first group of guide dogs that have formally graduated from the training center.

At the graduation ceremony, the eight guide dogs cautiously led their masters onto the stage. Thousands of medical university students and volunteers witnessed this special graduation ceremony.

Compared with developed countries, China's guide dog training started relatively late and faces a shortage of capital and trainers. The training center now has 30 dogs in training and 17 dogs being cared for. The center will continue to train qualified guide dogs in successive stages.
