The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences "Economic Blue Paper" predicts that in 2009, although Chinese economic growth is likely to slow, the whole economy will improve. While inflationary pressures will gradually ease, and the introduction of stock market regulation and control policies such as margin trading and margin transactions will further establish a stable foundation for the stock market, the effects of the global financial crisis can still not be ignored.
Therefore, in 2009 there is likely to only be a slight recovery in equity markets; it will be a long process moving out of the slump and back to previous levels of prosperity.
