Huaneng New Energy Industrial/HK Electric Dali Dafengba wind farm, the highest-altitude wind farm in China, which is also the first large-scale wind power project in Yunnan Province officially started operations after a year of construction.

The Dafengba wind farm is located at a ridge almost 12 kilometers south of Dali in Yunnan Province at an altitude of 2,400-2,800 meters. Each year after beginning operations, the wind farm will save China about 27,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by 89,000 tons.

The operation of the wind farm and its power generation mark another major period of achievement made by the Huaneng Group in its new energy development in Yunnan Province. It carries great significance in the implementation of strategies to develop western China, and to expedite the development of clean renewable energy.
