Reporters learned from the Wuhan Municipal Government on December 30 that the Hefei-Wuhan Railway, a high-speed railway connecting Wuhan and Hefei, has been completely set up with basic conditions for traffic.

This new transport service shortens the travel time from 8.5 hours to less than 2 hours between Wuhan and Hefei.

According to the railway departments, the Hefei-Wuhan Railway is the first high-speed railway established in the central region of China and is the first Supervisory Control and Date Acquisition (SCADA) systematic high-speed railway which integrates traction power supply, electric power supply, telecommunications and signal systems in China.
