China's mobile phone users receive more than 10 spam text messages per week |

In 2008, China's mobile phone users received an average of 10.35 spam text messages per week, a decrease of 2.09 messages, or 16.8%, from 2007, as statistics released on January 6 by the 12321 complaint handling centre of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show.
The majority of the spam messages are sales promotions from real estate, retail and transportation and tourism companies.
