Five people, including a one-year-old boy, died and other five injured after a mini-bus rear-ended a truck Saturday on a highway in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The tragedy occurred at about 1 a.m. on the Hepu county section of the Yu Zhan (Chongqing-Zhanjiang) highway in Guangxi, leaving five dead and other five injured, all aboard the bus.

An initial investigation shows that the accident bus, which is allowed to carry eight people, had 11 passengers on board actually.

All the injured were hospitalized and with no life danger. A investigation is under way into the cause of the accident.
