A recruitment team from Disney World at Florida, U.S. has held a preliminary interview to students at Macao's Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT), through which they intended to recruit local students to work as interns in the world- renowned theme park, according to a press statement released on Thursday by the IFT.

Since the academic year 2006/07, 17 students from the IFT, the only sort of its kind in Macao, have completed various internship programs at Disney World, and this was the fourth consecutive year for Disney World to visit IFT for internship recruitment, the IFT said in the statement.

Under the internship program, IFT student can apply for a 6- month internship or a one-year trainee program of food and beverage service at the theme park, while an "international college program" was co-conducted by Florida State University and Disney World was also offered to the students.

The statement quoted Disney International Recruitment Recruiter, Sue Sharpe, as saying that Disney was satisfied with the performance of IFT students in the past, and she hoped to receive more IFT students for this cultural exchange program.
